“Democracy is the most suited form of government for a diverse society like India”

Meet Mr. Narendra Joshi, an engineer and civil servant of India who works for the Indian Railways. He has been an avid reader of books since a very young age, initially in Hindi and then in English as well. His academic interests are History, Political Science, Philosophy, Literature, Behavioural Economics (human cognitive biases and decision making), Yoga theory and practice (Indian wisdom traditions), New and emerging technologies (socio-cultural/economic/political implications).

“India has always been a ‘dharma’ (duty) based civilization… In modern times, we just need to follow our constitution…”

He appeared in 2 Episodes (20 and 21) of Season 1 talking about Political Structures and Political Philosophies in the episodes respectively

He is the official youth and start-up mentor for global organisations such as Youth and United Nations Global Alliance (YUNGA), Japan, Purpose in Motion (PIM), Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) and many others. He gets his mentees to do research projects on all SDGs. He is the recipient of the national level Josh Education Awards for “Best Initiative for Mental Health Awareness” by the Dainik Jagran group.
